Ultrablue Orb Design Your Character

Bullet; Blue Here are some general character guidelines that should be followed when making your character.
  • Characters must be PG-13 and fit the modern day setting. No Sci-fi/Fantasy/RPG stuff here!
  • All characters must be humans and live on earth.
  • No restrictions on race or ethnicity of your character.
  • Characters must be of normal human size, no 8 foot giants allowed, sprites, or dwarfs
Bullet; Blue Keep Talent OCs in the age ranges of 13-45.
  • Though generally those older than 35 are typically seniors and mentors in the industry and typically do not audition to join the agency (typically transfer from another agency).
  • If your character is under 16, the character needs their parent’s permission! Please explain in the biography that the character received parental approval to work!
  • There are some exceptions where we accept those under or greater this range; however if you would like to be part of this exception, you must go through our Audition Chat RP!

Bullet; Blue Characters can have
  • Different/unique hair and eye colors, but please keep it mainstream, as employees and talents are supposed to represent their company image.

Ultrablue Orb Admin Review

Need help? Ask us about your design and we will respond with feedback if you need it!

Have any questions? Do ask via chatroom, comment or group note!

However if you want us to give you an application check and look over your application during the opening period (Audition Stage) we will only give general app checks and only look at your written portion only once for the application check.
  • We doubt you need more than one application check.
  • But Admins will stop giving application checks 1 week before the application submission deadline.

Ultrablue Orb Notes

Confused? Read over the various information that is also found in our FAQ, but related to this journal.
If you have already read the FAQ, then you do not have to read this section.

Bullet; Blue Does my character have to have a stage name?
  • Please do not remove this from the app if you have a levelable talent, as it is required for levelable talents to have it.

To us it's only an indicator of what your character would go by for their fans as it is somewhat of a title/label. Meaning your stage name can be the same as your character's name, we are not saying you must make a completely new name, but you can if you want.

Bullet; Blue Can I use traditional art?

Yes, you certainly may. Not everyone can use digital tools or are comfortable in making digital art

Bullet; Blue Can I use bases?

No. We would like your own work!

Bullet; Blue Am I allowed to use adoptables?

Yes, you can; however you must draw the adoptable on the application sheet. You cannot use another person’s art to make your application. As this an rp group centered around art, if you cannot draw your character, we suggest you not to join this group!

Bullet; Blue Can I bring a character Star-Wave from another group?

Sure, we are totally cool if you port a character over to Star-Wave, but please adapt your character to the group story and setting!

Bullet; Blue Can I use old artwork to create the app?

We really appreciate if you don't use artwork that is not made for this group.

Bullet; Blue Can my character have different hair/eye colors than the normal?

Yes, sure why not but please keep it mainstream.

Bullet; Blue Is there any race or ethnic restrictions in applying?

No, there is no restrictions on race or ethnicity of your character. However we do do want all humans. No magical beings or aliens now.

Bullet; BlueDoes my character have to be born in Prema Island?

No, characters can come from any part of the world, but since our setting is mostly on Prema, we suggest you explain your character moving over to the Island to work.

Bullet; BlueDoes my character have to live on Prema Island?

Well if they want to work in Star-Wave, yes! Work is primarily done on the island; it is pretty rare for talents or employees to work abroad.

Bullet; Blue Can my character be a trap?

Yes, but cross-dressing must be considered a skill and something that could be used in the line of work. Feminine males or boyish females are allowed. We will not accept trap characters who use cross-dressing to purposely mislead others like lying about gender.

Bullet; Blue Can my character be a non-binary/genderfluid/some other gender other than male and female?

After some discussion, we will not be allowing these characters in Star-Wave, as we prefer members to stick to 1 gender and under 1 label, so there isn't a confusion. Please only stick to male and female.

  • Individuals can be trans-gendered or intersex characters, but must stick to one gender label, no exceptions.

Bullet; Blue How old can my character be?

We typically will accept talent OCs from the age ranges of 13-45. Though generally those older than 35 are typically seniors and mentors in the industry and typically do not audition to join the agency.  If your character is under 16, the character needs their parent’s permission!

  • There are some exceptions where we accept talents under or greater this range; however if you would like to be part of this exception, you must go through our Audition Chat RP!
  • NPCs who are not talents are not restricted by the age limit.

Bullet; Blue Can my character be a former star? Child idol?

Yes, if you are considered to fall under one of the criteria:

  • You are invited by a mod
  • You are a mod
  • You are currently a member of Star-Wave
  • You have gone through the Audition Stage conducted in the chat.

These characters are supposed to be extremely few.

  • You cannot put down in your history about your OC being a child idol or in a national audition where he/she lost, and everyone around him/her knows about your character’s failure without having Fame Recognition Points unless you match one of the criterion above.

  • So generally this will not be allowed until you obtained Recognition Points; however you can still state that your character has failed a general audition or failed their debuting without anyone knowing without having to go through an Audition RP.

  • If you already are a member ofStar-Wave, you are allowed to make these kind of characters!

Bullet; Blue Can I put in my OC’s history, s/he has been scouted by the agency?

Yes, if you are considered to fall under one of the criteria:

  • You are invited by a mod
  • You are a mod
  • You are currently a member of Star-Wave
  • You have gone through the Audition Stage conducted in the chat.

  • Most characters will not be scouted by the agency. They must have fame recognition or skill recognition before entering the group, as all characters start at the Rookie Level.

  • One way to get approval for this is to go through a chat rp audition where mods (members are allowed to join in the panel as well) will be judges in a screening process, where you character will have to rp with judges. By taking part of this audition rp, you will gain fame recognition points before you are accepted the group and will be able to state you have been scouted or a former idol. This is to display your RPing skills to us and express your commitment of joining our group!

  • App check or requesting through note for permission will not give you this approval! As being scouted by the agency is an indicator of certain skills that stand out to the scouting agent, like singing and charisma, among all other normal civilians.

  • Members already in the group can create future OC's with histories having their characters being scouted by the agency.

Bullet; Blue Can I make a musician as a talent?

  • If you mean a talent who can only play a musical instrument, no.
  • We do accept talents with abilities who can play musical instruments (ie. Singer who can play guitar, Model who can play piano), as a talent progresses in the group, it is possible for any talent to achieve titles regardless of their current occupation like composer.
  • If you would like a musician only type of character, we highly suggest creating an NPC.

Bullet; Blue Am I allowed to make a band or a group?

Yes! You are allowed to join STAR WAVE with a band/group with other members or make your own band/group with NPCs in the future. With some information to keep in mind.

  • However if for example 2 of your trio fails the screening process, aka doesn't pass and gets their app rejected. The third member out of the group must go solo! That member can still mention the group in his/her OC’s history; however you will be asked to either add that the group was disbanded or group debut was put on hold or never jumpstarted.

  • Also if you are planning to make a group of NPCs as fellow members of your band while during the stay in the group, you will not be allowed to create your band/group until you have obtained your NPCs and be also forced to go solo.

This is to regulate chat events and keep a clear understanding across the board of who is in the group and not in the group. Because if these OCs are not in the group, they should not be considered stars and should be unknown to the public as they have not made their official debut, or earned the privilege to have some sort of recognition by the general public. But it is fine to mention them in conversations if they were trainees together or such in events and in private rp’s.

Bullet; Blue How many characters can I have or apply with?

  • Admins (Co-founders) are allowed to have 1 talent OC and multiple NPCs without restriction! Other OCs may be obtained through our shop system.

  • Contributors are only allowed one personal NPC and their talent OC. Other OCs may be obtained through our shop system.

  • However members are only allowed to have one talent character when they apply, once they are in the group, they have the opportunity to gain NPCs and extra characters through the Shop Journal! So basically one OC per member when you apply!

Bullet; Blue Where can I get more characters?

  • Please purchase them through our Shop Journal!

Star Divider by LolsweetStar Divider by LolsweetStar Divider by Lolsweet

Bullet; Blue How many Star Points (Skill/Stat Points) can we have when making new Levelable Talents?

  • Each new talent is allowed to have at max 10 star points to distribute when they start out. Note: Career paths have minimum star point requirements. Please check theIndustry Journal for further information

  • You can buy more Star Points when buying level-ups in the Shop.

Bullet; Blue How many Occupations can we have for our character?

  • Basically when you start out as a new talent, you can only start with 1 main occupation.

  • You can have a minor occupation once you have reached the minimum stat requirements.

  • There is special titles that your character can have by passing a test and meeting minimum stat requirements, but these are not considered minor occupations, but a special designation.

  • For more information please check the Industry Journal

Star Divider by LolsweetStar Divider by LolsweetStar Divider by Lolsweet

Bullet; Blue Can I make up my own Agency/Country/Kingdom/etc?

No, we do allow members to create their own businesses/homes for their characters like found in our Settings Journal, but that is the only setting/world-building feature we allow members to create. You are not allowed to create another Entertainment agency, country, kingdom, as we have specifically created this island for all to interact in.

Bullet; Blue Can my Character date with other people?

  • The Agency does not forbid their talents in having intimate relationship with others or their coworkers; however remember all talents have fans, and you may lose your fans if they find out if you were in a romantic relationship and not only that your reputation as a star and your image can be jeopardized and compromised.

  • So PDA (Public Displays of Affection) is not restricted, but please keep in mind there are camera’s everywhere.

Bullet; Blue How advance is technology in Star-Wave?

  • It is pretty modern technology like what we have currently in our world just slightly better as it's only 5 years in the future (2020).

  • So there is probably 3d printers, better and faster phones, and you might see some talking robots. No hovercrafts or anything Sci-fi.
